timholtorf:

This is all thanks to a post I saw from hopelessly-romantic-cynic who reblogged a quote written originally from goforthandagitate.  The suggestion was to make business cards, so I made ‘em.  This is the final style, simple, because that’s all it needs.  With big letters on the back.  Again, simple, but it gets the point across.

I can print them, but shipping would be HELL!  So, here’s something you can do.

  1. First, download this.  It is the template with both front and back to be used to create the cards.
  2. Second, you can contact a local printing company and have the cards made pretty quick.  Black and white, plus they don’t need to do lay out.  Though, that might still be expensive.
  3. Failing that, Avery Labels does have business card paper.  I suggest the $7.99 supply, as it’s no frills and is pretty good quality.  You can also get “bulk” packs of Avery business cards which have over 500 sheets (that’s over 5000 cards) but it can get expensive.  Standard packs include 25 sheets (250 cards).
  4. Use Word or OpenOffice or any wordprocessing program that has a business card template to print ten cards on an 8.5 inch by 11 inch sheet.  Insert the business card paper into your printer.  Make sure that you tell the print dialogue how many copies you want. Begin printing.
  5. Final step: hand out cards to privileged douchebags that make rape jokes.

Easy as that.  If you have a printer, and do run out of ink, look around your local area to see if there is a place that refills ink cartridges.  Around here (Outlook, Sask), it’s Island Ink Jet, and is far cheaper than buying a brand new cartridge.

I hope everyone who follows me on tumblr can find a use for this.  And if you really need cards printed by me (keep in mind, I can’t do huge runs without setting up a cost and billing, though 100 cards runs about $19.00 Cdn) hit up my ask box.
